Getting close. I painted the body this weekend. The yellow is a metallic gold, and looks much nicer in person. I thought it was the best match to the box art cover, without using mustard yellow, lol. I painted it very close to box art design, however I added black shading on the center silver stripe...

i'm not sure i can be helpful, but those parts look very similar to traxxas fiero pan car diff parts. Maybe you can retrofit those parts to get you up and running?

I picked the best 4 tyres I’ve got, gave them a soak of silicone spray for a week, and fitted them onto the rims, minus the internal locking rings, as they put too much pressure on them and they just tear (I destroyed 2 tyres trying this :evil: ) https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7820/47057324442_0995b...

It's been awhile. I disassembled the hole car/truck to prepare all the individual parts for final finish.
Got delivery of the M1.4 countersunk screws for the body panels and have started the transformation from brass bling to steel gray with JAX pewter black.

I will head to my local hobby shop and see if they have the body/wing you mentioned or something similar enough.

I have an LXT on the way, not in front of me. For running sake, is there a off the shelf way to add 12mm hexes to update or is the wheel offset the main issue? anything can be done with axle and bearing swaps but 'going there' on an old vintage isnt the way to go imo, but offhand, losi axles are a ...

Is the front bulkhead broken? I forget exactly what it looks like but even the later model parts I think can be cut apart to make the separate sides work for any width traxxas chassis. just not the bandit or later with the extra lip for mounting to a flat chassis. so a bullet, rad, rad2, hawk hawk2 ...
