Bright dip should make them close to factory. Removing the old anodizing dulls them a bit.
Are they all blue or do you have any that are more teal? Not sure if it's early or later nitro hawk but I have three more teal colored shocks and always keep a lookout for a 4th to complete the set.

I have an art/drawing pencil eraser that I've found useful for removing all kinds of marks from parts. It's not the kind on the end of a No. ... though. Oven cleaner (caustic) is the most popular method of removing anodizing, you have to be careful as if parts are left in too long can turn black.
