Re: LeMans 240 Porn

Not an expert...but I wouldn't start out with the "S" since this is a truck. Associated has some silicone lube that was inexpensive for the RC10 stealth I remember using just a few years ago. I have some left that I think I will put in my BB when I can finally get to building. I can get a ...

Re: Boomerang Disaster

I got the "circlips" (E clips) today to replace whatever was on there. Will consider building the trans cases to see if this solves the binding problem. I doubt I will complete this project. I did see a guy on youtube (Sweden I think; maybe UK don't remember exactly) and he was SOO scared ...

Re: Big Brute Fix-Body Paint Update 3/9

The saga continues.... I got the parts truck/car (Hi_rider Corvette) from Sam which is much nicer than this BB, so I hate to tear it up to fix this BB and another reason mentioned later.* I did win a lot of parts that had some of the parts needed to complete this BB project: http://postimg.org/image...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Needed some parts from a lot and bought a lot of "I don't knows" too: http://postimg.org/image/a5wgrg42t/

Looks like some RC10 Servo mounts, antenna tube mount , a battery strap, but no idea on the rest. Appreciate any help. One of the A-arms says "Graphite."

Re: RC10GT Refresh

Nice work; like new again! What was the difference in the kits and the RTR GTs? I grabbed an RTR about 4 years ago. Drove it a few times then off to the shelf. What year were these kits released?

Re: Big Brute Replacement Tire Options?

Could strip the anodization off (I think) with Greased Lightning and polish with a metal polish to make them silver.

Re: Boomerang Disaster

Only two years and a couple of months later I did something to this. I tore this project down to ascertain what all is needed...a lot! So, I expect this to be a slow rebuild. It seems to be missing something off of every tree/block. When I tore the model down in reverse of the manual I found the gea...

Re: Big Brute Replacement Tire Options?

The seller* stated the axle hole is 4mm and our front axles are 3.93mm. The "5.0" in the title does indicate 5mm thickness. I will get my digital calipers tomorrow and remeasure the axles just to make sure. NOTE: I have made corrections to the axle diameter measurements. * http://www.ebay....

Re: Big Brute Replacement Tire Options?

So these hubs just fit over the shafts? Any way of knowing for sure they fit on the BB shaft size? Thanks for the measurements! This monster truck tires look to be close in height if a bit narrower. Yes, the hubs RR pointed out will fit on the axle and engage the locking pin that runs through the a...

Guess I am a couple years late, but thanks Dave! I was digging stuff out a few days ago and noticed that the label is still missing. I will print this and slap it on the box.

Axle (hub removed) 19mm 7. Exposed Axle (hub installed) 13mm 8. Exposed Axle (wheel installed) 5mm 9. Ti...

Re: Big Brute Replacement Tire Options?

I think RR is correct about the hex conversion. I found a kit ("hub conversion kit") on ebay for $16 and the smallest of the three look like they will work with the wheels and tires you mentioned: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Axial-IFD-Hex-Hub-Conversion-Set-AX31074-/311283572114?pt=LH_DefaultD...
