Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Is there a modern 1:12 car that you like these days? Cue the obligatory Schumacher reference from me :D There is the current 1/12 World Champion Schumacher Eclipse 5: https://www.racing-cars.com/rc-models-2/cars/cars-2wd-4wd=2wd/eclipse-5-1-12th-circuit-kit-k203?returnurl=%2frc-models-2%2fcars%2fca...

Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!
But my favorite carburetor nickname has to be the Rottenchester Quadra-bog! Regarding the differences, jet changes seems to be waaaaaay easier on the Edelbrock. I haven't done it yet, but changing a metering rod looks to be quite simple compared to the tedium of draining and removing float bo...

Re: Currently Watching
I've got the week off to relax, so I'm surfing YouTube watching random vids of whatever and came across this one. Pretty darned neat, I'll be checking out more of his channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stwNVGHPn_M stwNVGHPn_M Fascinating! :D 3 bolt mains! Hadn't seen that done before. T...

I just acquired my first ever Edelbrock carb when I bought my F100. I always had Holleys (and 1 Demon, which is basically a "super Holley"). The Eddy is doing a fine job, haven't felt the need to touch it. I am intrigued, though, as it is very different.

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?
One dealer in the UK is already saying not to order through them, but to order through AE to avoid missing out. So maybe dealers are cut out or severely limited. I think the same is happening/has happened with the 40th RC10 for folks in the UK. I doubt if AE would do that in the US, but it is ...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
The Kimbrough was made to bolt to different hubs I don't think the holes were originally meant for balls. Knowledgeable folks told me those inner holes would line up perfectly with early Schumacher slipper clutch housings (Cougar 2, Bosscat, CAT 2000, etc). I was able to find Schumacher spurs, so I...

Lot of germs on money, gotta keep it clean. Good way to keep people safe from the germs associated with money, is to keep the money away from the people.... and, in that respect, I have to say THEY are doing a great job.   :x :x  :x This cat and I both agree with your...

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?
Question for the experts: Which "version" are they re-releasing? Was there an original version with gold shocks and bushings? The XX chased away all of the AE buggies where I raced bitd, but there were always quite a few 10Ts racing. I don't recall seeing this combination. It's very cool r...

My original 10T bitd had normal servo mounts*.

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?
I am not an AE guy, but the 10T or similar-spec buggy (black pan, green shocks, white nylon) would be the hardest to resist.
One of you collectors will trade me a Ford truck body for the Chevy-esque kit body, right? I can't commit 2 blasphemies on a single kit.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Gavin at RCKicks used a Dorito in a recent video (the 40th ann. RC10 I think it was). No mention of it, just cutting the tape and turning the box, then you notice the Dorito. Not Monty Python funny, but good for a chuckle.
