Re: 3D Printed Stainless Steel Outdrives

You would have to make them. Typically you would shim a cvd or universal, but with a dogbone you are stuck with washers and springs to do the job. Remember a longer outdrive might engage the bone more but will also limit travel more too. Most problems come down to way too much droop or improperly s...

Re: 3D Printed Stainless Steel Outdrives

2.25 is the original stealth in the buggy, dual sport and 10t. The b2/b3/T3 are a 2.40, and most others (gt/T2/modern) are a 2.60. The outdrives are all specific to the ratio and in the 2.60 also come metric and standard So, what could I use to get a larger set in a re-re and/or a B3? Mecause they'...

Re: 3D Printed Stainless Steel Outdrives

For those of us happening along on this, 2.25 is for the stock constant velocity + dogbone on the re-re-release (and maybe the b3)?

If so, I'll be able to get two!

Re: Re-re-release Dogbone(?) falling out?

That seems to have done the trick. The clearance isn't as much as I'd like, but the dogbone stays within the cup through an entire turn when the arm is as low as it can be. We romped on it a bit and tried to force the issue, but were unable to cause it again with the extra three spaces on each side.

Re: Re-re-release Dogbone(?) falling out?

Ok, yeah, there are three VERY small spacers in the manual I have. I just pulled a shock and disassembled. I had three small ones and there are three more I can give. Each are about 1mm? So, I guess I'll try adding those other six. Here's what they sent in my version for future reference. 2021-06-06...

Re: Re-re-release Dogbone(?) falling out?

For the shocks? I'll have to take them apart and look, that's a lot of space.

I don't remember any springs in the dogbones. I will Read The Fine Manual and see what I've missed.

Thanks!

Re-re-release Dogbone(?) falling out?

So, I've gotten a re-re-released RC10 for my son to go alongside my gold pan. However, his car is throwing the dogbone side of the drive shafts on the transmission side. I remember converting my gold pan to pure dogbones in the 80s, but sincerely doubt there's an aftermarket for this now. So... Is t...

Thanks! That's piece I was missing. I am gonna order a 91469 set and hope for the best.

Re: Shodog's RC10 Tube chassis build

What upper arm are you referring to? The rear upper camber link? Yes. It's not in the block of holes like what I ran (of course the last time I touched those screws Reagan was in office). :/ I figured out what it was... It's the holes to mount the shock tower to the bulkhead. I was in the office wh...

Re: Setting up my old car for the kids

I went looking for what I would need to modernize while I set up the account. I got enough to throw together some stuff on my amazon wishlist. I suspect since I have 2 kids and 1 car, my collection will triple or worse as they need beginner cars that won't last as long as an aluminum tub. It's good ...
