^ MarkyDents - Thanks. I am using all aluminum hardware on this build. Most of it is from FastenerExpress.

Servo mounted. I don't love the angle of the rod from the servo to the rack, but this seems the only way to make it fit in this chassis. Has anyone been able to get a straighter setup in this chassis?

Using an offset servo arm may allow the ball stud to be placed on the inside. Using less bulky ball cups might help too.

You might also try a offset ball link at the bellcrank connection. The actual geometry doesn't change but they can buy you some room around the servo.

This is a Losi arm and Tamiya ball link. The offset link at the bellcrank is RC4WD.

^ Juicedcoupe - Thanks for the suggestions. The offset ball link is a great idea. I will have to look into my crawler stuff and see what I have.

Here is my modified steering setup, meant to be as close as I can get to an RPM enhanced steering kit. I hope to find a real RPM kit someday, but until then this will do.

I put on these machined Klein arms. I was originally going to use white RPM arms, but I think I prefer the look of these. Also, there seem to be plenty of other CC RC10s with RPM arms already, so this is hopefully a little different.

I wanted to show off my sanded and polished front brace.

My light box makes all white parts look much more yellow than their true color.

I really like the direction you’ve taken it in with the arms. Very much a prototype vibe. What exactly are the front hubs and spindles, and what have you done with them to replicate the RPM enhancement kit ?

^ MarkyDents - Thanks! The front hubs and spindles come from a Losi NXT. The shape of their hub is very close to the RPM units. I cut down the spindles to match the buggy length.

I was excited to use one of these colorful neoprene dust covers on the transmission, but that meant it would cover these pretty aluminum spacers. I got the spacers from a member on here a few years ago. I can't remember who, but thanks again.

I was also excited to cut and modify a motor plate, but I couldn't pass up installing this beautiful NIP LITESINK.

I was originally going to use an RPM transmission, but that would have meant the mint RPM rear mounts would need to be cut up to make room. I couldn't make myself do that. I may change my mind later, but using the Stealth transmission means no cutting and showing off the aluminum spacers.

I am wondering if a white Stealth transmission case may look better than the black? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Nice looking buggy...and that hardware!!!
Well if your going for a white transmission you might need a white front bulkhead to balance up the contrasting pieces.

Looking awesome👍🏻

I’d stay with the black case, personally think the Ali spacers would be lost against a white case

The moment I saw those aluminum spacers and bearing cover, I remembered NomadRacer. He's a master lathe turner who posted some outstanding RC10 builds. He also suffered from some serious health issues then suddenly stopped posting. I could be wrong but I believe those parts came from Nomad.

^ XLR8 - That name sounds familiar. Sucks to hear about his health issues. Hope he's feeling better and back on here soon.

I got the shocks mounted. I never would have thought they would have been so difficult and take so much time to get mounted correctly. The length of the rears were way too long. The bottoms of the fronts still dont have proper bushings, because the Klein arms shock mount opening is narrow and doesn't fit the stock bottom.

I opened this pretty little RPM transmission brace, but I don't know if I like the color contrast. Sandkill has a good point of adding a white front bulkhead, but I like the look of black better. It just doesn't go as well with the rear.

I really think the trans brace works well visually with the arm mounts and bulkhead.
Maybe a nicely contoured white battery cup would tie things together…..
The massaged motor guard is a very nice touch !
I say stick with the black trans case, looks perfect with the aluminum.

I've never been a fan of using the trans brace if you're not using the worlds tower with the body mount. Even though you can't really use the tab with an rc10 body. Maybe a Jammin Jumper
