Yeah, a Dremel with a cut off wheel would be best. Or, if you have a band saw handy you could use that.

I kinda like the bare hacksaw blade method shown.

If I had to modify the tub, I'd use a dremel and lots of tape to keep from scratching the other surfaces.

MRLEXAN, the motor guard is actually made by HOLESHOT, sorry for the confusion.
